Application

Ethyl 2-isocyanopropionate can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate, such as in the preparation of a vitamin C carbamate compound such as 2-((5R)-5S)-1,2-diacetoxyethyl-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-3-oxo)carbonyl-1-aminopropionate. This compound is particularly suitable for the skin of individuals with brown pigmentation spots, age spots, or for individuals who wish to combat the brown appearance derived from melanin production. It can also decolorize and/or brighten hair, eyelashes, hair, lips, and/or nails.
