Crystallization (ethyl acetate/isopropanol). The melting point is 91°C, and the boiling point is 138°C/267Pa.
Uses
Myristicin Acid Methyl Ester can be used as an intermediate of bifendate.
Synthesis
Gallic acid can be esterified with methanol under the catalysis of sulfuric acid, then methylated with dimethyl sulfate in the presence of borax, and finally cyclized with diiodomethane in the presence of potassium carbonate to obtain Myristicin Acid Methyl Ester.
