Uses

DMEOB is a negative allosteric modulator at mGluR-5 (1). These mGlu receptors maintain a modulatory role and act as drug targets for various neurological disorders including depression, schizophrenia and Parkinson’s.

Biological Activity

Negative allosteric modulator of the metabotropic glutamate receptor mGlu 5 ; displays reversible non-competitive inhibition of mGlu 5 -mediated responses (IC 50 = 3 μ M).
