Chemical Properties

Colorless to Almost colorless clear liquid.

Uses

1H,1H,5H-Perfluoropentyl-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethylether can be used as organic synthesis intermediates and pharmaceutical intermediates, mainly used in laboratory research and development processes and chemical production processes.

Preparation

In a 2L pressure reactor, add 600g sulfolane, 620g difluoroacetic acid-2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-octafluoropentyl ester, 200g tetramethylammonium hydroxide, and replace the inside of the kettle with nitrogen Turn on the stirring, heat up to 50°C, pass in tetrafluoroethylene, and maintain the pressure at 0.3MPa for reaction. When the tetrafluoroethylene has reached 220g, stop passing the gas, keep the temperature for 1h, cool, and remove the reaction liquid. It was filtered and rectified to obtain 596 g of 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-octafluoropentyl ether with a yield of 90% and a purity of 99.8%.
