Azido-PEG8-CH2CO2-PFP Usage And Synthesis

Description

Azido-PEG8-CH2CO2-PFP is a monodisperse PEG molecule thathas an azide group and a PFP group. The azide group enable Click Chemistry reactions with alkynes. The PFP group can react with amines to form stable bonds. PFP moieties are also less susceptible to undergo hydrolysis. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of the compound. Longer PEG chains enhance the water solubility properties of the chain.

Uses

Azido-PEG8-CH2COO-PFP is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Azido-PEG8-CH2COO-PFP is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
