Bioactivation of erythro-β,3-Dihydroxy-D-tyrosine to the potent pharmacological agent, noradrenalone (arterenone), via sequential stereoselective action by two target enzymes - dopamine β-monooxygenase (DBM) and L-arom. amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) - acting in tandem.
