4-(1H-IMIDAZOL-4-YLMETHYL)-1-METHYLPIPERIDINE DIHYDROBROMIDE Usage And Synthesis
Uses
4-(1H-Imidazol-4-ylmethyl)-1-methylpiperidine Dihydrobromide is a salt analog of methimepip, which exhibits high affinity and agonist activity at the human histamine H3 receptor.
Biological Activity
Extremely selective histamine H 3 receptor agonist (pK i values are 9.0, 5.7, < 5.0 and < 5.0 for hH 3 , hH 4 , hH 1 and hH 2 receptors respectively). Potently inhibits EFS-evoked contractions of guinea pig ileum (pD 2 = 8.26).
