The trifluoroacetyl and dimethylamino groups in the structure of N,N-Dimethyltrifluoroacetamide give it unique chemical properties. This compound is a colorless or slightly yellow liquid with high stability and thermal decomposition temperature. In addition, it has good solubility and can be dissolved in a variety of organic solvents, but its solubility in water is low.

Uses

N,N-Dimethyltrifluoroacetamide is used as an electrolyte additive for lithium-ion batteries, which helps to improve the performance of PC-based electrolytes and the low-temperature performance of lithium-ion batteries.
