Characteristics
Rubber Tackfier SY-1206 provides both high initial rubber tack but also a high long-term tack. In addition, there is no loss of adhesive strength when the mix is stored over a lengthy period. There are no side effects on vulcanization. The resin acts as a mild plasticizer, thus promoting distribution of the filler.
Composition
Tackifiers for synthetic rubber have included hydrocarbon resins, coumarone-indene resins, polyterpenes, alkyl phenol/formaldehyde condensates and others.
Industrial uses
Used to manufacture tires, conveyor belts, rubber dams and other rubber products that require high unvulcanized viscosity.
