Uses
GST tagged tubulin has been used in Western blotting and in mass spec as a control.
Biological Activity
Tubulin-β 1 (TUBB1) interaction with microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs) such as tau is fundamental for microtubule structure and function. It has a role in the formation of the cytoskeleton. Studies revealed th at TUBB1 is the target of various antitubulin agents used in the treatment of cancer. Subsequent studies have also concluded th at TUBB1 mutations in clinical samples are rare, and unlikely to contribute to drug resistance.
in vivo
M40 (0.1-1 nmol, intracisternal injection, single dose) blocks selectively the central cardiovascular responses induced by galanin-(1–15) in Sprague-Dawley rats models, according to the recognization of galanin receptor in N-terminus[1].
M40 (2-8 nmol, intraventricular or intrahippocampal, single dose) exhibits antagonist efficacy against galanin on memory tasks in sprague-dawley rats models, exhibits potency in alleviating the cognitive deficits associated with Alzheimer's disease[2].
