WYC-209 Usage And Synthesis
Uses
WYC-209 RAR Agonist is used in the preparation of the retinoid compounds and their application as anticancer agents.
Biological Activity
Synthetic retinoid with antiproliferative activity', 'WYC-209 is a synthetic retinoid with antiproliferative activity and better inhibition of cancer cell growth and proliferation than Tazarotene or ATRA (all-trans-retinoic acid). WYC-209 was shown to inhibit proliferation of malignant murine melanoma tumor-repopulating cells (TRCs) with an IC50 value of 190 nM and also inhibited proliferation of TRCs of human melanoma, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, and breast cancer in culture.
in vivo
WYC-209 (0.022-0.22 mg/kg; i.v.; once every two days for 25 days) inhibits tumor metastasis in C57BL/6 mice bearing lung metastases[1].
