Uses
Antidiabetic; antihyperlipoproteinemic.
in vivo
Butaxamine (0.1, 1, 10 mg/kg; p.o.; once daily for 12 weeks) increases bone mass indices and biomechanical parameters of strength and toughness in rats[1].

| Result: | Prevented a decrease in bone mass and an increase in biomechanical fragility developing in SHR, suppressed both a decrease in bone formation and an increase in bone resorption in SHR. |
