Lead naphthenate Usage And Synthesis

Chemical Properties

Soft yellow translucent resinous viscous substance. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, benzene, toluene, turpentine and rosin water.

Safety Profile

A poison. Moderately toxic by intraperitoneal route. Mildly toxic by ingestion. Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic data. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of lead.
