Synthesis

GENERAL STEPS: The reaction was carried out in a 50 mL round-bottomed flask at 80°C under reduced pressure for 10 minutes. In a typical experiment, 5 mmol of p-iodoaniline was mixed with 5 mmol of di-tert-butyl dicarbonate and the reaction lasted for 10 minutes. Upon completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by rotary evaporator under vacuum to give tert-butyl (4-iodophenyl)carbamate.
