Purification Methods

The salt (0.63g) is recrystallised from boiling H2O (76mL), yielding pure (0.45) Me4N.PF6 after drying at 100o. It is a good supporting electrolyte. [Lange & Müller Chem Ber 63 1067 1930, Beilstein 4 III 110.]
