Reported found in pepper, coffee, anise and parsley
Uses
α, p-dimethylstyrene has been suggested for use in perfume compositions, mainly as a component in certain artificial essential oils. In Lemon fragrances for industrial masking purposes it may introduce lift, power and freshness.
Preparation
By passing a stream of p-cymene and water vapors over activated aluminum oxide at 730°C.
