MOUSE IGG Usage And Synthesis

Uses

Purified mouse IgG may be used as a reference antigen, standard, blocking agent, or coating protein in a variety of immunoassays including ELISA, dot immunobinding, Western immunoblotting, immunodiffusion, and immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications include starting materials for the preparation of immunogens and solid phase immunoadsorbents. Mouse IgG was used as standard in ELISA and chromatin immunoprecipitation assay. It was used to coat nano particles in the development of biosensors.

Uses

Technical grade IgG may be used as an economical alternative to the reagent grade immunoglobulins in applications where high purity is not required. IgG from mouse serum was used as negative control in immunohistochemistry at a concentration of 2 μg/ml. It was used as irrelevant control in chromatin immunoprecipitaion assay (10 μg).

General Description

IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections
Mouse IgG is purified from normal mouse serum by fractionation and ion-exchange chromatography.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) participates in hypersensitivity type II and type III reactions. IgG helps in opsonization, complement fixation and antibody dependent cell mediated cytotoxicity.

Description

IgG Mouse Recombinant produced in Hi-5 cells is a single polypeptide chain containing 236 amino acids (98-330 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 26.6kDa.
IgG is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Background

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) are antibody molecules. Each IgG is composed of four peptide chains - 2 heavy chains g and 2 light chains. Also, each IgG has 2 antigen binding sites. IgG antibodies are involved in primarily the secondary immune response. The presence of specific IgG, generally, relates to maturation of the antibody response. IgG also has an imperative role in Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) and Intracellular antibody-mediated proteolysis, in which it binds to TRIM21 (the receptor with greatest affinity to IgG in humans) in order to direct marked virions to the proteasome in the cytosol.
