General Description
An aqueous solution. Light yellow to light brown liquid with a disinfectant-like odor.
Reactivity Profile
disodium 2,2'(or 3,3')-oxybis[5(or 2)-dodecylbenzenesulphonate] is an aqueous solution of a sodium salt of a sulfonate. Reacts as a base to neutralize acids. Usually does not react as either an oxidizing agent or reducing agent.
Health Hazard
EYES AND SKIN: The solution is corrosive and may cause irreversible damage to eyes and skin. INGESTION: Irritation of the mouth, esophagus, and stomach. Diarrhea, intestinal distention, and occasional vomiting.
