Synthesis

Methyl sulfide oxidation: methionine dissolved in 5M aqueous perchloric acid, add 0.05M ammonium molybdate, hydrogen peroxide, water, pyridine neutralization (PH = 7), add acetone to make the precipitation, purification, drying, methionine sulfone (II). Where methionine: 5M perchloric acid: water: 0.05M ammonium molybdate: 30% hydrogen peroxide: water: acetone = 0.0336mol: 7ml: 45ml: 3ml: 7g: 70ml: 240ml.
