Acryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride can be polymerized in solution, suspension, and emulsion under the catalytic action of free radical catalysts (e.g., peroxides, redox systems, azo compounds). This polymerization reaction not only expands its field of application, but also offers the possibility of preparing polymers with specific structures and functions.

Uses

Acryloyloxyethyltrimethyl ammonium chloride is mainly used in the preparation of flocculants for sludge dewatering, flocculants or dispersants for papermaking, fibre colourants, pigment dispersants and conductive coatings.
