Petromurin C Usage And Synthesis

Description

Petromurin C is a bis-indolyl benzenoid fungal metabolite originally isolated from the ascostromata of P. muricatus. It is cytotoxic to NS-1 mouse myeloma cells (IC₅₀ = 33 μg/ml) and has activity against T. foetus in vitro (IC₅₀ = 100 μg/ml).

Uses

Petromurin C is a bisindolylbenzenoid compound isolated from the ascostromata of Petromycesmuricatus. Petromurin C induces protective autophagy and apoptosis in FLT3-ITD-positive AML[1][2].
