18α-Hydroxyprogesterone is a steroid hormone related to Progesterone (P755900) which is produced by the corpus luteum. It induces maturation and secretory activity of the uterine endothelium; suppresses ovulation. Progesterone is implicated in the etiology of breast cancer.
