The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1000.

Immunogen

Anti-human SORD mAb, clone PAT10F4AT, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human SORD protein 1-357 amino acids purified from E. coli.

Background

SORD enzyme is part of of the zinc-containing alcohol dehydrogenase family that is broadly expressed in kidney and in the lens eye. SORD enzymatically catalyzes the zinc-dependent interconversion of polyols, such as sorbitol and xylitol, to their respective ketoses.
