2,4,6-Triphenylboroxin Usage And Synthesis

Synthesis

Add 1.2 mol of borane dimethyl sulfide to 6 mol of tetrahydrofuran, add 1 mol of phenol and 1 mol of water under an argon atmosphere, Then add 20mol of anhydrous toluene and 6g of 2-picoline methanesulfonate to it under argon flow, mix for 10min, and react at 90°C for 30min under sealed conditions. Then 0.6mmHg was used to remove the volatiles, evacuated utterly, and reacted at 90 for 15min under vacuum. Concentrate, dry, and cool to room temperature to obtain triphenoxycycloboroxane, yielding 80.26% and a purity of 99.57%.
