(-)-Eseroline Fumarate Salt is a metabolite of physostigmine, displaying both anti-acetylcholinesterase and opiate agonist activities.
in vivo
(-)-Eseroline fumarate (HCl; 10 mg/kg; i.v.; single dose) induces the release of 5-HT from cerebral cortex in adult mongrel cats[2].
(-)-Eseroline fumarate (salicylate; 9 mg/kg; s.c.; single dose) shows analgesic effect and strongly reduces antinociceptive effect of Physostigmine (HY-N6608) in the mouse tail-flick test[3].
