6,8-DIFLUORO-4-METHYL-UMBELLIFERYL PHOSPHATE Usage And Synthesis

Description

6,8-difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate is a fluorogenic substrate for protein tyrosine phosphatase.

Uses

DiFMUP is a fluorogenic substrate, and has been widely used for the continuous detection of phosphatase activities. DiFMUP is hydrolysis by a phosphatase results in the release of Xuorescent DIFMU, which can be easily followed in continuous mode by a Xuorescence reader[1][2].

Definition

ChEBI: 6,8-difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate is a member of coumarins. It is functionally related to a coumarin. It is a conjugate acid of a 6,8-difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate (2-).

Biological Activity

DiFMUP (6,8-difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate), a fluorinated analog of MUP, is a fluorescent synthetic substrate for continuous assessment of phosphatase activity. DiFMUP excitation/emission maxima are 358/450 nm.

storage

Store at -20°C
