Applications

The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Recommended starting dilution is 1:500. 

Immunogen

Anti-human CTSS mAb, clone PAT1F9A, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human CTSS protein 17-331 amino acids  purified from E. coli.

Background

Cathepsin S (CTSS) belongs to the peptidase C1 family. CTSS is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase that participates in the degradation of antigenic proteins to peptides for presentation on MHC class II molecules. CTSS functions as an elastase over a broad pH range in alveolar macrophages.
