Uses

Indium(III) nitrate hydrate can be used as a precursor to synthesize indium oxide nanomaterials. It can also be used toprepare Pd-based bimetallic catalysts for nitrate reduction.

Synthesis

Traditional high-purity indium nitrate preparation is usually carried out in the laboratory, the specific steps are: the use of more than 99.995% of fine indium ingot as raw materials, the first fine indium ingot heating melting into indium water, and then the molten indium water slowly and uniformly poured into the water made of indium flowers, and then indium flower placed in the heating vessel by the heating element such as electric hot plate heating and dissolved in nitric acid, the production of indium nitrate solution.
