Distillates (petroleum), light catalytic cracked Usage And Synthesis
Definition
Distillates (petroleum), light catalytic cracked is a complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by the distillation of products from a catalytic cracking process. It consists of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C9 through C25 and boiling in the range of approximately 150.degree.C to 400.degree.C (302.degree.F to 752.degree.F). It contains a relatively large proportion of bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
Safety Profile
onfirmed carcinogen. Moderately toxic by ingestion. A severe skin and eye irritant. When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating vapors.
