2-Propenoic acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, manufg. residue, thermally cracked is a complex residuum from the distillation of thermally cracked reaction products of acrylic acid and 2-ethyl-1-hexanol. It consists primarily of 2-ethylhexyl-2-[(2-ethylhexyl)oxyl]propanoate with various small amounts of phenothiazine and high molecular weight acrylates, 2-ethylhexyl esters and other condensation products.
