Naphtha (petroleum), light straight-run is a complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by distillation of crude oil. It consists of aliphatic hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C4 through C10 and boiling in the range of approximately -20 .degree.C to 180.degree.C (-4.degree.F to 356.degree.F).
