First Aid Measures

Ingestion

Seek medical attention. If individual is drowsy or unconscious, do not give anything by mouth; place individual on the left side with the head down. Contact a physician, medical facility, or poison control center for advice about whether to induce vomiting. If possible, do not leave individual unattended.

Inhalation

Exposure Effects

Symptoms are similar to hypercalcemia: anorexia, fatigue, headache, itching, and weakness. Polyneuropathy has been reported after acute intoxication. In humans, aortic stenosis was associated with high doses of vitamin D in pregnancy. However, conflicting results have been observed. In animal studies, toxic effects including fetotoxicity, spontaneous abortion and specific developmental abnormalities were observed.
