First Aid Measures
Ingestion
If swallowed, wash mouth thoroughly with plenty of water and give water to drink. Get medical attention immediately.
Inhalation
In case of mist inhalation or breathing fumes released from heated material, remove person to fresh air. Keep him quiet and warm. Apply artificial respiration if necessary and get medical attention immediately.
Skin
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Wash clothing before re-use. Discard contaminated shoes. Get medical attention immediately.
Eyes
Holding the eyelids apart, flush eyes promptly with copious flowing water for at least 20 minutes. Get medical attention immediately.

Corrosive to mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract. Symptoms include sore throat, coughing, shortness of breath and nasal irritation.
Skin
Corrosive BURNS MAY POSSIBLY APPEAR ONLY SEVERAL HOURS AFTER EXPOSURE! May be absorbed through the skin in sufficient amount to cause systemic toxicity.
Eyes
Corrosive.
Ingestion
Corrosive by ingestion. Symptoms of overexposure include burning sensation in the mouth and throat, vomiting (occasionally of blood), abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Accidental Release Measures
Small spills/leaks
Cover spill with 10% sodium bicarbonate solution. Wait till all material is neutralised (no gas bubbles are being released). Absorb on sand or vermiculite and place in closed container for disposal. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.
