First Aid Measures
Ingestion
Seek medical attention. If individual is drowsy or unconscious, do not give anything by mouth; place individual on the left side with the head down. Contact a physician, medical facility, or poison control center for advice about whether to induce vomiting. If possible, do not leave individual unattended.
Inhalation
If symptoms develop, move individual away from exposure and into fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. Keep person warm and quiet; seek immediate medical attention.
Skin
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash exposed area with soap and water. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Launder clothing before reuse.
Eyes
If symptoms develop, immediately move individual away from exposure and into fresh air. Flush eyes gently with water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids apart; seek immediate medical attention.

Storage
Keep in a cool, dry, dark location in a tightly sealed container or cylinder. Keep away from incompatible materials, ignition sources and untrained individuals. Secure and label area. Protect containers/cylinders from physical damage.

Hypoxemia and respiratory alkalosis has been observed following an acute overdose.
Ingestion
Gastrointestinal side effects include nausea (2% to 5%), vomiting (0.9%), diarrhea (3% to 13%), abdominal pain (17%), and constipation (0.6% to 2%). Nausea and abdominal cramping were reported in two overdose ingestions.

Exposure Effects
Elevated body temperature, increased pulse, and increased respiratory rate may result from an acute overdose. therapeutic side effects have included headache, dizziness, fatigue, and malaise. Seizures are possible. Tremor was reported in one overdose. Women should be advised not to become pregnant while taking misoprostol. If pregnancy is suspected, use of the product should be discontinued and the pregnancy should be followed very closely (weekly) for the next 4 weeks. <br>Mobius' syndrome (congenital facial paralysis) were reported following maternal misoprostol administration.
