Hydroxy-PEG4-methyl ester is a PEG linker containing hydroxyl and methyl ester moieties. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of compounds in aqueous media. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other functional groups. Methyl ester can be hydrolyzed under strong basic condition.

Uses

Hydroxy-PEG4-C2-methyl ester is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1].
