Description

DH 97 is an antagonist of melatonin receptor 2 (MT2; Kis = 252 and 1,100 for human MT2 and MT1 receptors, respectively).

Definition

ChEBI: N-[2-[2-(phenylmethyl)-1H-indol-3-yl]ethyl]pentanamide is a member of indoles.

Biological Activity

A relatively potent MT 2 melatonin receptor antagonist (pK i value = 8.03), displaying 89- and 229-fold selectivity over MT 1 and GPR50 (melatonin-related orphan receptor) respectively.
