Chemical Properties

Ferrous Trifluoromethanesulfonate (II) is an off-white to brown solid powder at room temperature and pressure, with strong hygroscopicity, which can be used to catalyze the Michael addition reaction of thiol compounds to unsaturated carbonyl compounds.

Uses

Iron(II) Trifluoromethanesulfonate acts as a catalyst for hydrosilylation and hydroboration of alkenes and alkynes to give silane and borane adducts. Reagent in the preparation of organometallic inhibitors of UFM1-activating enzymes UBAS.

General Description
