Description
Acetyl Decapeptide-3 is a synthetic peptide with the trade name CG-Rejulin. It repeats part of the sequence of the basic fibroblast growth factor (or fibroblast growth factor 2; FGF-β) protein (Ac-tyr-arg-ser-arg-lys-tyr-thr-ser-trp-tyr-NH2; YRSRKYTSWY) and mimic its function.
Uses
Ac-Decapeptide is a bioactive peptide with anti-aging effect and has been reported used as a cosmetic ingredient[1].
Biological Functions
Acetyl Decapeptide-3 has anti-aging, firming, smoothing and skin conditioning properties. It is involved in skin development, wound healing and regeneration and promotes the growth and proliferation of fibroblasts, endothelial cells and keratinocytes. It also protects cells from apoptosis. In addition, it increases the expression level of extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen, fibronectin and laminin. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin elasticity and makes the skin firmer and softer. In addition to its anti-aging and anti-wrinkle effects, it promotes hair growth, strengthens hair follicles and promotes new cell development.
