Preparation

btained by photocatalytic oxidation of 4,4–′-dimethoxybenzhydrol (m.p. 69–71°) catalyzed by H3PW12O40/SiO2 in acetonitrile under oxygen atmosphere at r.t. for 1 h (90%).
