Uses

α1-24-Adrenocorticotropic Hormone is used in the treatment of West syndrome (WS).

in vivo

Tetracosactide acetate (0.5 mg/kg, iv, single dose) reduces malondialdehyde (MDA), xanthine oxidase (XO), myeloperoxidase (MPO), caspase-3 in tissue and serum, inproves the levels of catalase in rabbits spinal cord IR injury models, exhibits neuroprotective and antioxidant activities^[2].

Animal Model:	Rabbits spinal cord IR injury models^[2]
Dosage:	0.5 mg/kg
Administration:	iv, single dose
Result:	Reduced MDA, XO, MPO, caspase-3 in tissue and serum, inproved the levels of CAT.
