Description
Cis-Octahydro-1H-isoindole hydrochloride is an important intermediate in the synthesis of mitiglinide which is a new oral hypoglycemic drug for the treatment of type II diabetes for the first marked in Japan
Preparation
Phthalimide was used as raw material to react with KOH. Benzyl bromide was subsequently added to the solution to obtain the N-benzylphthalimide.
