Composition

Lemon balm leaves contain 0.2 to 0.3% of a lemon-scented essential oil similar to lemongrass. Major mono- and sequiterpenes include geranial, neral, β-caryophyllene, β-caryophyllene oxide, linalool, citronelal, nerol and geraniol.
