Chemical Properties

White crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from the tuberous roots of the northern aconite, the roots of Artemisia annua produced in various parts of Yunnan containing Artemisia annua methyl and ethylin, ethylin proved to be niaoulin.

Uses

Bullatine B is an aconitine-type alkaloid which exhibits antiarrhythmic properties.

in vivo

Neoline (10 mg/kg/day; sc; 10 days) alleviates oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy. Neoline inhibits paclitaxel- or partial sciatic nerve injury-induced allodynia in mice model^[1].
Neoline (1-10 mg/kg; sc; single dose) shows antinociceptive effect and significantly increases the mechanical nociceptive threshold in diabetic mices^[2].
