Uses

Asperulosidic Acid is a derivative of Asperuloside (A790260), an iridoid found in Paederia foetida and is an inhibitor of xanthine oxidase and is used in the treatment of various disorders including inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases.

Definition

ChEBI: Asperulosidic acid is a glycoside and an iridoid monoterpenoid.

Synthesis

Take 10kg of C. alba and add 10 times the volume concentration of 75% ethanol reflux extraction twice, each time 1h, 60 concentrated under reduced pressure to the relative density of 1.10-1.20; to the concentrate add 0.5% by weight of activated charcoal decolorization, high-speed centrifugation, take the supernatant, vacuum drying, to get the crude extract of C. alba; will be used in the crude extract of 30% methanol solubility, ODS open-ended column as stationary phase, 30% methanol aqueous solution elution, recovery of methanol, vacuum drying. The crude extract was dissolved in 30% methanol, eluted with 30% methanol aqueous solution using an ODS open-ended column as stationary phase, and then dried in vacuum after recovering methanol. After drying, the sample was dissolved in 5% methanol and separated by high-speed counter-current chromatography to obtain the plantain glycosides. Preparation conditions: YMC-PackODS-A column (20250 mm, 5 m) as the chromatographic column, 5% methanol as the mobile phase, isocratic elution for 60 min; detection wavelength 235 nm; injection volume 100 L.
