Chemical Properties

Brown powder. Soluble in hot water, solubility in water (60℃) is 15g/L, aqueous solution is red. Slightly soluble in ethanol. Red in concentrated sulfuric acid, still red after dilution. Slightly soluble in concentrated hydrochloric acid is light yellow, diluted gradually become orange to red. Slightly soluble in 40% sodium hydroxide solution, light orange color. Slight change in color and light when stained with copper ions, slightly yellow when stained with iron ions.

Preparation

2-Aminobenzoic acid (2 Moore) diazo, and N,N’-bis(4-hydroxy-2-sulfonaphthalene-7-yl)urea?coupled with copper sulfate, and complex.

Properties and Applications

red light brown. Brown powder. Soluble in hot water for red, solubility of 15 g/L (60 ℃), 20 g/L (97 ℃), and adequate soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in strong hydrochloric acid for yellow, dilute after gradually from orange red. The strong sulfuric acid for red, diluted is still red; In 40% of sodium hydroxide solution in a slightly soluble for light yellow, add water dilute, deepen primary colors. Dyeing copper ions in a slight change color in a little yellow colored light iron ion. Mainly used to viscose filament, natural silk, rayon, wool, linen and its various blended fabric dyeing and printing directly. Also can be used for leather products dyeing.
