Application

Aluminum tripolyphosphate (ATP), as a novel environmentally friendly rust-inhibiting pigment, has gradually replaced traditional heavy metal rust-inhibiting pigments in the field of anti-corrosion coatings due to its environmentally friendly and pollution-free properties. Aluminum tripolyphosphate is widely used in various primers and topcoats, exhibiting good compatibility with varnishes. It can be used in combination with various pigments and fillers, as well as various rust-inhibiting pigments, to prepare a variety of high-performance anti-corrosion coatings. It is suitable for solvent-based coatings such as phenolic resins, alkyd resins, epoxy resins, and acrylic resins, as well as various water-soluble resin coatings (e.g., highly adaptable waterborne epoxy ester dip coatings); it can also be applied to thick-film coatings, powder coatings, organotitanium anti-corrosion coatings, rust-bearing coatings, asphalt varnishes, zinc-rich primers, fire-retardant coatings, and organosilicon high-temperature resistant coatings.
