Fluorphlogopite (Mg3K[AlF2O(SiO3)3]) Usage And Synthesis
Description
Synthetic fluorphlogopite KMg3(A1Si3O10)F2 (also known as synthetic mica) is a layered silicate compound formed by high temperature reaction, melting, cooling, crystallization and growth of chemical raw materials and mineral raw materials. It does not contain hydroxyl, so it has good temperature resistance and good insulation.
Uses
Synthetic fluorophlogopite can be widely used in mica-titanium pearlescent pigments, cosmetic powders, plastics and ceramic fillers. At the same time, synthetic fluorophlogopite is widely used in the electronics industry due to its excellent electrical insulation properties.

Synthesis
A method for preparing a synthetic fluorphlogopite (Mg3K[AlF2O(SiO3)3]), characterized in that it comprises the following steps:
(1) Equipping raw materials: the molar ratios of SiO2, MgO, Al2O3, K2CO3 and K2SiF6 contained in the equipped raw materials are: SiO2: MgO: Al2O3: K2CO3: K2SiF6 = (16-a): 18: 3: (1-a): (2+a), 0.1 ≤a≤0.5;
(2) Masonry furnace body and install the upper electrode in the furnace body;
(3) Fill the furnace body with raw materials after mixing the raw materials equipped in step (1);
(4) energizing to melt the raw materials in the furnace body;
(5) stop the power, so that the material inside the furnace body natural cooling precipitation crystal;
(6) Open the furnace and take out the synthetic mica.
The chemical reaction formula of synthetic fluorine gold mica is: 16SiO2+18MgO+3Al2O3+K2CO3+2K2SiF6=6KMg3(AlSi3O10)F2+CO2↑
