Chemical Properties

Off-white to yellow powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from ipecac, Angola anise maple.

Uses

Epichenol hydrochloride can kill the trophozoites of lysosomes and is toxic.

Biological Activity

Cephaeline dihydrochloride is a selective CYP2D6 inhibitor with IC50 of 121 μM.
