General Description
EPA 625 Semivolatile Calibration Kit is useful for identifying and quantifying acids (phenols), base-neutrals, organochlorine pesticides & PCBs in municipal and industrial wastewater. The pre-requisite of EPA 625 method is the use of gas chromatography with a selective detector or for gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The analyst may be better equipped to choose between GC and HPLC.
Packed GC columns are described in the EPA 625 method, but chromatographic conditions can be changed (e.g., capillary columns may be used) if the changes do not make the method "less accurate or less precise" than the standard method.
