TRIETHANOLAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE Usage And Synthesis
Chemical Properties
White/clear crystalline powder
Uses
Protein purification reagent Triethanolamine hydrochloride serves as a protein purification reagent, an emulsifier and a surfactant. It is used in the study of chemical cross linking of chloroplast coupling factor and acts as a medium for assaying adenosine diphosphate (ADP). It acts as an organic additive in the grinding of cement clinker and as a complexing agent for aluminum ions in aqueous solutions. It is used for the neutralization of fatty acids and adjusting buffer pH as well as utilized to dissolve oils.
Definition
ChEBI: A hydrochloride obtained by combining triethanolamine with one equivalent of hydrogen chloride.
